LIFE IS UNPREDICTABLE, BUT PHOTOGRAPHS LIVE ON

As a former Plymouth, MI decorator turned photographer, when you first walk through my home you'll instantly see my passion for well-appointed rooms and photographic art including a 36 x 48 digitally painted canvas of my family of 10 right in the entryway!! It tells all who enter that being a wife and mama of 8 kiddos is where my heart is and I love helping other families elevate their homes to a place of legacy and preservation through photography. It's my passion!!

This became a special calling to me when pregnant with my 3rd child, I received the devastating news with a knock on my door, that my first husband had been killed in Iraq. Through that gut-wrenching experience 18 years ago, I learned that photographs and memories are what you treasure most when all seems lost. Frankly, I am ever so grateful social media wasn't a thing in 2005 because nothing can compare to the moments when we gathered to remember and we were able to flip through carefully preserved family albums and I could pass by a smile up on the wall. It truly cannot and could not compare to a digital grid of images locked away on some phone app... Even still, years after his passing it became my heart's desire to ensure me and my 3 kiddos, at that time, still experienced beauty and joy so I would make every intention to book and attend photography sessions with them and walk away with the physical images of our new life!!! It was a priority for I knew life was unpredictable but photographs would live on.

Now remarried with an additional 5 children, I photograph their every milestone with the aim of putting the retouched images up on the wall for all the different holiday occasions and seasons of life. It's also important for me to know they are seen, wanted, and desired as part of that family unit while growing up and can see themselves up in photographs in all the different ways we do life!!

That's why as a photographer I put together several special-themed mini sessions during the year from Spring Flower Fields, Fourth of July, Back-to-School, all the way to Holy Communions and Christmas!!! There's a time and a place to display them all from bedrooms, to hallways, stairs, and shelving!! In between my special-themed minis, I enjoy the creativity of full signature and simple mini sessions for families and senior portraits all at prime Michigan locations like McClumpha Park, Heritage Park, Downtown Plymouth and Brighton, local high schools, and the list goes on!

Thanks for taking the time to learn about my photographic philosophy and why I am so passionate about photographic works of art over digital grids. I invite you to work with me and experience the beauty and joy of a moment and life captured and preserved FOREVER!!!
